Suitable for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V, this LED rear light from Horpol s Ema serie is designed for heavy-duty transport applications. With its dimensions of 220x100x40 mm and robust polycarbonate housing, it is resistant to external influences. Thanks to its IP68 rating, this rear light can also be used in environments with high moisture or dust exposure. The rear light combines the functions: rear lights, brake lights, indicators and licence plate lights, and also includes a reflector. The luminaire features an open wire end with a cable length of 200 cm, which facilitates installation in different vehicle configurations. The surface-mount assembly allows integration into a variety of body designs. The lighting complies with CE, ECE R10, ECE R7, ECE R6 and ECE R4 directives. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
