Omschrijving

This LED marker light from Fristom s MV-2700 serie is suitable for use as a side marker light and integrated reflector on vehicles with an on-board 12-24 V system. The compact 98x65x55 mm housing is made of impact-resistant polycarbonate and provides for a durable, surface-mounted installation. The fixed 50 cm cable with open wire end makes it easy to electrically connect this marker light to a variety of vehicle types. The lens is also made of polycarbonate and finished in amber colour for optimum recognisability. This marker light meets the requirements of CE, ECE R3, ECE R10 and ECE R91, and features a robust seal that protects against water penetration in accordance with IP67. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
