This LED marker light from Fristom s MV-2700 serie is suitable for applications on vehicles with an on-board system of 12-24 V. The model is equipped with an amber coloured lens and combines the functions: side marker light and reflector. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate and designed for surface mounting. Thanks to the open wire end with 50 cm cable, connection is easy within a variety of configurations. With compact dimensions of 65x42x30 mm, this marker light is suitable for mounting on various vehicle types where side visibility is required. The product complies with CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R91 guidelines and is marked WATERPROOF, supporting its usability in a variety of weather conditions. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
