Omschrijving

This LED top light from Fristom s MV-700 serie is designed for use as marker lights on various commercial vehicles. Its white light colour makes it suitable for applications on the front or side of the vehicle. The polycarbonate housing and lens contribute to an impact-resistant construction that can withstand a variety of conditions. The light is supplied with a 50 cm cable and 0.75 mm² connector, allowing efficient electrical connection. The top light meets the requirements of CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R7, making it suitable for use on public roads. The waterproof seal contributes to reliable operation in various weather conditions. Mounting should be done with a separately available mounting bracket.

ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
