Omschrijving

This red LED marker light from the Fristom MV-700 serie is suitable for mounting on various vehicles where clear marking is required. The compact unit features a 1.5 mm² connector and comes with a 50 cm cable. Both the lens and housing are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to impact resistance and durability. Thanks to the ECE R10, R3 and R7 certifications, the marker light is approved for use on public roads. The designation 'WATERPROOF' indicates adequate protection against moisture and other environmental influences. This marker light only offers the function: rear marker light.

ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
