Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-1300 serie includes compact LED marker lights designed for use on vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. This round marker light with white light colour is made of impact-resistant polycarbonate and features an open wire end with 50 cm cable for direct connection. Dimensions are ø80 x 29mm, making the product suitable for surface-mounted applications where space is limited. This LED marker light is equipped with a reflector function and meets the requirements of CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7. Thanks to its robust housing and lens, the marker light is suitable for use in a wide range of environments. The product line offers installation flexibility and has been developed with uniform vehicle lighting in mind. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
