This LED marker light from Fristom s MV-2600 serie is designed for applications where limited installation space is available. With a compact size of ø32 x 17.2mm and rubber housing, this model is suitable for installation on vehicles in different segments, such as 12V semi-trailers, trucks or special vehicles. The white light colour and built-in reflector contribute to increased visibility and vehicle marking in a variety of conditions. This marker light features a clear polycarbonate lens and is connected via an open wire end with 15cm cable. Thanks to flush mounting, it fits discreetly into a variety of vehicle designs. The product complies with CE, ECE R10 and ECE R7 standards. The WATERPROOF rating indicates that it can withstand humid environments. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
