This round LED marker light from Fristom s MV-1300 serie is designed for use on vehicles with an on-board 12-24 V system. The product combines the functions: Rear Marker Light and Reflector. Thanks to its robust polycarbonate housing and lens construction, this LED marker light offers reliable performance under various conditions. Surface mounting combined with a 50 cm cable with open wire end ensures easy installation on a variety of vehicle types. With dimensions of ø80 x 29mm, the marker light is particularly compact and suitable for uniform integration around the vehicle. The product complies with CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R7 standards. Although listed as "WATERPROOF", IP class notation is not stated in a standardised manner and further indication is omitted. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
