Omschrijving

The Horpol MV-5000 serie is designed for use as a red LED marker light with integrated reflector function. This surface-mounted model operates on a voltage range of 12-24 V and is suitable for mounting on various types of vehicles in a variety of environments. Its compact dimensions of 120 x 46 x 20.5 mm make it easy to integrate into both new and existing applications.The polycarbonate housing and lens offer mechanical protection strength and impact resistance. The IP68 rating makes this marker light resistant to dust and long-term immersion. The CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R7 labels confirm compliance with relevant technical and electromagnetic standards. Connection is via an open wire end with a cable length of 50 cm.

ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
