Omschrijving

This white LED marker light from Fristom s MV-2400 serie is suitable for both 12 V and 24 V systems. With compact dimensions of 122 x 27.7 x 12.8 mm and flush mounting and surface mounting options, this marker light offers flexibility in various vehicle applications. The housing consists of polycarbonate and rubber and the lens is also made of polycarbonate. The marker light is equipped with a reflector function. Connection is via an open wire end with 15 cm cable. This model meets the requirements of CE, ECE R10, ECE R148-A, ECE R148-ECE-R1 and ECE R148-SM1. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
