This amber-coloured LED marker light from Horpol s MV-4000 serie is suitable for use as a side marker light with integrated reflector. Its slim design and compact housing of 103x30x35 mm make this model suitable for a variety of mounting positions on vehicles. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate for high impact resistance. The marker light is designed for surface mounting and comes with a 45 cm cable with open wire end. Its operation is compatible with both 12 V and 24 V voltage ranges, making it suitable for use on a variety of vehicles. This product conforms to CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R91 guidelines and is dust- and waterproof according to protection degree IP68. Plus points of this series: - Slimline design - Available in amber, red and white for a uniform all-round look - Available with dark-look lens or clear lens - Available with mounting bracket for easy mounting

ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
