Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-2400 serie was developed for vehicles that require a compact and durable marking solution. These LED marker lights combine the functions: rear marker light and reflector. Thanks to the dual mounting option - flush mounting or surface mounting - the product can be widely used on semi-trailers, semi-trailers and commercial vehicles. The housing consists of wear-resistant materials such as polycarbonate and rubber, ensuring long-term reliability in a variety of weather conditions. The lens is made of polycarbonate and finished in red. With a rated voltage of 12-24 V and a 15 cm cable length with open wire end, this marker lights can be easily integrated into existing vehicle systems. The luminaire complies with CE, ECE R10, ECE R148-A, ECE R148-R1 and ECE R148-SM1, making it suitable for applications where certification is required. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
