Omschrijving

This red LED marker light from Fristom s MV-5600 serie is designed for use on vehicles with an on-board voltage of 12-24 V. The model combines the functions: rear marker light and reflector, contributing to improved visibility and safety in a variety of conditions. With a housing and lens entirely made of polycarbonate, this surface-mounted model is resistant to mechanical stress and weather conditions. Its dimensions of 118x72x30 mm and slim design make integration into various vehicle configurations easy. Connection is via an open wire end with a cable length of 50 cm. This LED marker light is certified according to CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7. Surface mounting and availability of matching accessories support a neat installation. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
