Omschrijving

This red LED marker light from the Fristom MV-2700 serie is suitable for vehicles with an on-board electrical system of 12-24 V. The model combines the functions: rear marker light and reflector, and is designed for surface mounting. Thanks to the polycarbonate housing and lens, the luminaire is mechanically well protected. The fixed 50 cm cable with open wire end facilitates installation. With compact dimensions of 113x42x34 mm, this marker light is easy to integrate on a variety of vehicle types. The certifications CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7 confirm conformance within European regulations. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
