Omschrijving

This LED marker light from Fristom s MV-600 serie is designed for applications on 12-24V vehicles and is suitable for rear or side mounting. The model has a red lens colour and combines the functions: rear marker light and reflector. Thanks to the polycarbonate housing and lens, the marker light offers an impact-resistant construction in a compact size of 110x54x16 mm. Surface mounting with 50 cm cable and open wire end simplifies installation. The marker light complies with CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R7 directives, making it suitable for use on public roads. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
