Omschrijving

This LED marker light from Fristom s MV-5800 serie is designed for visibility enhancement on vehicles within a 12-24 V voltage range. The model has an oval shape and combines the functions: Rear Marker Light and Reflector. Thanks to its surface-mounted design, it is easy to install on various vehicle types, including semi-trailers, commercial vehicles and semi-trailers. The housing is made of polycarbonate and rubber, with a robust polycarbonate lens. The 50 cm cable with open wire end allows flexible connection. This marker light complies with several truck marks, including CE, ECE R10, ECE R148 and ECE R150. The WATERPROOF classification indicates resistance to moisture and external influences. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
