Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-2780W belongs to the MV-2700 serie and is an LED marker light with reflective function. This model features a white lens colour and is designed for surface mounting on vehicles operating on 12-24 V. Its compact size of 140x65x55 mm makes this marker light suitable for various vehicle set-ups, e.g. in the transport or agriculture sector. Both the housing and the lens are made of polycarbonate for increased impact resistance. The product features a 50 cm cable with a 1.5 mm² connector. The multi-voltage application offers flexibility in mounting on a variety of vehicle systems. This LED marker light complies with CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7 certifications. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
