This white LED marker light from the Fristom MV-2700 serie is designed for applications on vehicles that meet visibility and safety standards. Thanks to its multivoltage operation (12-24 V), this marker light is suitable for a wide range of vehicles, including commercial vehicles, semi-trailers and semi-trailers. The marker light features a reflection function, contributing to better visibility in traffic. The housing and lens are made of impact-resistant polycarbonate, which contributes to its durability under a variety of conditions. The dimensions of the marker light are 140x65x55 mm. The luminaire features an open wire end with 50 cm cable for easy connection. The assembly is built for surface mounting and complies with CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7 certification requirements. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
