The Horpol MB-4600 serie includes LED side marker lights suitable for a variety of applications within the heavy transport segment. Designed as a replacement unit, this model provides clear position lighting in a variety of driving conditions. Thanks to its multivoltage operation between 12-24V, this LED side marker light is compatible with truck, semi-trailers and semi-trailers alike. The light features duo-color functionality for distinctive visibility on both sides of the vehicle. Various lengths and shapes are available within the MB-4600 serie, promoting flexibility in mounting and application. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R148 — unified signalling lamp regulation.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
