Omschrijving

The Fristom W-3841 serie LED work lights was developed for demanding applications in transport, agriculture and industry. This LED work light produces a clear and focused light image (driving lights) and is suitable for vehicles with a voltage range of 9-36 V. Thanks to its light output of 4,100 lm and compact size of 100x100x74 mm, this work light is widely applicable for situations where good visibility is required. The housing is made of an impact-resistant nylon alloy (PA06-GF30) and features a durable polycarbonate lens. The work light is dust- and waterproof to IP68 and complies with ECE R10 and CE certification for electromagnetic compatibility. Mounting is via surface mounting and the connection consists of an open wire end with 150 cm cable. ECE R10 — electromagnetic compatibility for vehicle electronics.

R10 is the reason a cheap LED strip can make a truck's ABS throw faults. It regulates how much electrical noise a lamp is allowed to emit, and how much external interference it has to tolerate. Every lamp destined for a European road carrying a CE mark also needs an R10 stamp — the two are not the same.

ADR is the European agreement governing the international carriage of dangerous goods by road. Annex B, Part 9 contains the electrical-installation rules that a lamp on an ADR-rated vehicle must meet. It is stricter than ordinary road-vehicle standards — a lamp fitted to a tanker carrying flammable liquid has to survive electrical and mechanical conditions an ordinary delivery truck never sees.
