Omschrijving

This LED side marker light from Horpol s MB-1000 serie is designed for use on trucks and semi-trailers, for example. Thanks to its Swedish design and surface mounting, the light fits well with common vehicle applications. The light features an amber coloured lens and a short pendant arm, with a compact size of ø79 x 107mm and a housing depth of 92mm. The rubber housing and impact-resistant polycarbonate lens offer protection against external influences. The 50 cm connection cable with open wire end makes it possible to connect this LED side marker light to both 12 V and 24 V systems. The light meets IP68 standards and is certified to CE, ECE R10 and ECE R6-CAT5. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

R148 replaces and unifies the previous patchwork of lamp regulations (R6, R7, R23, R38, R77, R87, R91) into one consolidated standard for signalling lamps. It came into force for new vehicle type approvals in September 2023, with full mandatory application by 2027. What was once seven regulations covering direction indicators, position lamps, reversing lamps, parking lamps, end-outline markers, DRLs and side-marker lamps is now one document.
