Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-5650A from the MV-5600 serie is an LED marker light for applications on 12-24 V vehicle installations. Offering both side marking and reflective function in one housing, this model contributes to vehicle visibility and safety. With its compact size of 118x72x30 mm and surface-mounting, it is suitable for a variety of applications, including commercial vehicles, semi-trailers and semi-trailers. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate and are resistant to mechanical influences. The 50 cm long cable with open wire end ensures easy electrical connection. The marker light comes in amber colour and complies with various certifications, including CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R91. The series is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
