Omschrijving

The Fristom marker light from the MV-6800 serie is designed for use as a rear marker light with integrated reflector function. Thanks to its compact size of 73.7 x 35.6 x 18.6 mm, this surface-mounted luminaire is suitable for mounting on a variety of vehicle types, including semi-trailers and commercial vehicles. The marker light has a red light colour and is equipped with an open wire end and 15 cm connection cables, enabling easy installation.The housing and lens are made of impact-resistant polycarbonate, suitable for long-term use in a variety of conditions. The product is fully dust- and waterproof in accordance with IP68. The MV-6800DR complies with CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R148 directives for electromagnetic compatibility and vehicle lighting.

ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
