This LED marker light from Fristom s MV-5800 serie is designed for use on vehicles in a variety of segments, including commercial vehicles, semi-trailers and agricultural machinery. The oval model combines two functions: rear marker light and reflector. Thanks to its robust housing made of polycarbonate and rubber , it is suitable for long-term use in a variety of conditions. The lens is made of impact-resistant polycarbonate and has a fixed red light colour. The 50 cm cable with 1.5 mm² connector enables efficient electrical connection. The surface-mount mounting offers flexibility when integrating into the vehicle design. This marker light operates on a voltage range of 12-24 V and is certified according to CE, ECE R10, ECE R148 and ECE R150 guidelines. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
