Omschrijving

The Horpol marker light MV-3100 serie is designed for application on vehicles requiring permanent visibility in a variety of conditions. These LED marker lights feature a white light colour and combine compact dimensions of 113x61x34 mm with a robust polycarbonate housing and lens. Thanks to their IP68 rating, they are resistant to dust and long-term immersion, contributing to durability in harsh conditions. The MV-3150W also functions as a reflector. The power supply suitable for 12-24 V electrical systems improves usability for a variety of vehicles. Connection is via an open wire end with 50 cm cable for flexible mounting. The product meets CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R7 standards, confirming its suitability for use on European roads. Mounting is via surface mounting. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
