Omschrijving

This marker light from the Horpol MV-4000 serie is suitable for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. Thanks to its compact size of 96x39x66 mm and surface mounting, it is easy to integrate into a variety of applications such as semi-trailers, trucks or semi-trailers. The integrated reflector functionality increases visibility and contributes to traffic safety. The high-impact polycarbonate housing and lens offer protection against mechanical impacts, while the IP68 rating guarantees dust and water resistance. CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R7 approvals make this product suitable for use on public roads within the European Union. Connection is via an open wire end with a cable length of 25 cm. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
