Omschrijving

This LED marker light from the Fristom MV-1400 serie is designed for use on vehicles within a voltage range of 12-24 V. The amber colour version supports the functions: side marker lights and reflector. Thanks to surface mounting and a cable length of 50 cm with 1.5 mm² connector, the product is suitable for various professional applications in transport and logistics. The housing and lens are made of impact-resistant polycarbonate, which contributes to the durability of this marker light. With dimensions of 120x67x18 mm, the design is compact and universal. The combination of CE, ECE-R3, ECE-R10 and ECE-R91 certification supports use on publicly permitted vehicles under a variety of conditions. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
