Omschrijving

This LED marker light from Horpol s MV-5300 serie is designed for use as a side marker light in a variety of vehicle applications. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate and offer protection class IP68. This makes the product suitable for long-term use in various weather conditions. This marker light operates on 12-24 V and has a 30 cm connection cable with open wire end, which facilitates flexible installation. With dimensions of 254x24x18 mm, this marker light has a narrow profile and can therefore be used in locations with limited installation space. The lens colour is amber. The product complies with CE, ECE R10 and ECE R148 directives. Plus points of this series: - Slimline design - Available in amber, red and white for a uniform look all around - Available with dark-look lens or clear lens

ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
