Omschrijving

The LED Autolamps 1490 serie includes various LED marker lights suitable for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. This particular model comes in white and features a rectangular reflector, making it compliant with several ECE directives, including ECE-R3, ECE-R7 and ECE-R10. Thanks to its IP67 rating, the marker light is protected against dust and temporary immersion in water, supporting reliability under a variety of conditions. The marker light uses 4 LEDs and has an acrylic lens and ABS housing. With dimensions of 110x47x65 mm, it has a compact design. Mounting is surface-mount type and is done via an open wire end with a cable length of 18 cm. The reflector function is integrated into the design. This model is suitable for installation on all sides of the vehicle and is also available with an optional suspension mount. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
