The Fristom ZL500 serie features versatile LED beacons, suitable for use on vehicles in a variety of working conditions. This model is equipped with a robust 3-bolt attachment, allowing it to be permanently mounted on the vehicle. The housing and lens are made of impact-resistant polycarbonate and offer protection according to IP68 classification. This LED beacon is suitable for 12-24 V systems and comes with a 150 cm cable fitted with an open wire end. The ZL500 serie complies with CE, ECE R10 and ECE R65 directives, ensuring electromagnetic compatibility and signalling function. Plus points of this series: - Whole series, fixed, magnet, single bolt and DIN mounting - Choice of rotating, single flash or double flash model

ECE R65 — the rule behind every warning light.

ECE R65 is the European standard that determines whether a rotating or flashing beacon is road-legal. It defines luminous intensity, flash rate, colour and mechanical endurance. Without an R65 mark, a beacon is not allowed on a public road anywhere inside UNECE territory — and insurers routinely refuse claims on vehicles carrying non-approved warning lights.

ECE R10 — electromagnetic compatibility for vehicle electronics.

R10 is the reason a cheap LED strip can make a truck's ABS throw faults. It regulates how much electrical noise a lamp is allowed to emit, and how much external interference it has to tolerate. Every lamp destined for a European road carrying a CE mark also needs an R10 stamp — the two are not the same.

ADR — lighting rules for dangerous-goods transport.

ADR is the European agreement governing the international carriage of dangerous goods by road. Annex B, Part 9 contains the electrical-installation rules that a lamp on an ADR-rated vehicle must meet. It is stricter than ordinary road-vehicle standards — a lamp fitted to a tanker carrying flammable liquid has to survive electrical and mechanical conditions an ordinary delivery truck never sees.
