This LED beacon from Fristom s ZL400 serie is designed for applications on vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. The model features a low housing and is suitable for 1-bolt mounting. The construction consists of an ABS housing and an impact-resistant polycarbonate lens, which contributes to high resistance to external influences. Thanks to its IP68 rating, this LED beacon is fully dust- and waterproof, making it suitable for intensive use in a variety of conditions. The flashing light has an open wire end with a 150cm long power cable and is ECE R10 and ECE R65 certified, meeting requirements for electromagnetic compatibility and optical performance in warning lights. This particular model offers a double flash light pattern and is part of a versatile series with multiple mounting options and flash variants. ECE R65 — the rule behind every warning light.

ECE R65 is the European standard that determines whether a rotating or flashing beacon is road-legal. It defines luminous intensity, flash rate, colour and mechanical endurance. Without an R65 mark, a beacon is not allowed on a public road anywhere inside UNECE territory — and insurers routinely refuse claims on vehicles carrying non-approved warning lights.

R10 is the reason a cheap LED strip can make a truck's ABS throw faults. It regulates how much electrical noise a lamp is allowed to emit, and how much external interference it has to tolerate. Every lamp destined for a European road carrying a CE mark also needs an R10 stamp — the two are not the same.

ADR — lighting rules for dangerous-goods transport.

ADR is the European agreement governing the international carriage of dangerous goods by road. Annex B, Part 9 contains the electrical-installation rules that a lamp on an ADR-rated vehicle must meet. It is stricter than ordinary road-vehicle standards — a lamp fitted to a tanker carrying flammable liquid has to survive electrical and mechanical conditions an ordinary delivery truck never sees.
