Omschrijving

The LED R65 Battery-Powered Rotating Beacon is a wireless, rechargeable rotating beacon with an amber coloured flashing light. Thanks to the combination of magnetic and suction cup mounting, you can easily and securely attach the beacon to virtually any vehicle, without the hassle of cables. The built-in battery charges fully in around 4 hours via the USB-C connection and then lasts up to 8 hours on a single charge. The light is ECE-R65 certified and has an IP66 protection class, making it resistant to water and dust. With its round black polycarbonate housing and amber coloured lens , this flashing light is suitable for use on, amongst others, trucks, commercial vehicles, tractors, excavators, 4x4 vehicles and emergency services vehicles.

ECE R65 — the rule behind every warning light.

ECE R65 is the European standard that determines whether a rotating or flashing beacon is road-legal. It defines luminous intensity, flash rate, colour and mechanical endurance. Without an R65 mark, a beacon is not allowed on a public road anywhere inside UNECE territory — and insurers routinely refuse claims on vehicles carrying non-approved warning lights.

R10 is the reason a cheap LED strip can make a truck's ABS throw faults. It regulates how much electrical noise a lamp is allowed to emit, and how much external interference it has to tolerate. Every lamp destined for a European road carrying a CE mark also needs an R10 stamp — the two are not the same.

ADR — lighting rules for dangerous-goods transport.

ADR is the European agreement governing the international carriage of dangerous goods by road. Annex B, Part 9 contains the electrical-installation rules that a lamp on an ADR-rated vehicle must meet. It is stricter than ordinary road-vehicle standards — a lamp fitted to a tanker carrying flammable liquid has to survive electrical and mechanical conditions an ordinary delivery truck never sees.
