Omschrijving

This white LED marker light from the Fristom MV-6700 serie is designed for application on various commercial vehicles and 12V semi-trailers. Thanks to ECE-R148 approval, the marker light is suitable for vehicles within the European market. The housing and lens are made of impact-resistant polycarbonate, which contributes to a long service life under harsh conditions. The lighting is equipped with reflector function and features a 15 cm long cable with open wire end, suitable for surface mounting. The multi-voltage connection (12-24 V) allows integration with various on-board systems. With a compact size of 59.6 x 37.8 x 32.7 mm, this LED marker light allows flexible placement even in tight vehicle locations. IP68 protection and CE and ECE R10 certification underline its robustness against dust, water and electromagnetic interference. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
