Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-800 serie is designed for use as side marker lights on vehicles within 12-24 V electrical systems. Equipped with an amber coloured LED light source, this model offers increased visibility and contributes to vehicle safety in all lighting conditions. The combination of marker light and integrated reflector makes this product suitable for various applications within road transport and logistics.The housing and lens are made of impact-resistant polycarbonate for improved durability. Thanks to surface mounting and a 50 cm cable with open wire end, installation is flexible and user-friendly. The lighting complies with CE, ECE R10 and ECE R91 guidelines and offers protection against moisture and dust in accordance with a waterproof design.

ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
