The TRALERT® L81 series includes robust LED bars specially designed for demanding working conditions. Suitable for use on vehicles with a voltage range of 10-30 V, this LED bar delivers a light output of 4,000 lm in a Driving Beam light image. With its dimensions of 544x53x89 mm and surface mounting, this version is versatile on a variety of vehicles in transport, agriculture and construction sectors, among others. The aluminium housing and polycarbonate lens ensure a durable design that can withstand harsh conditions. The LED bar is equipped with a 40 cm cable with 2-PIN's Deutsch connector for a reliable and waterproof connection. Thanks to its IP68 rating, the product is fully dust- and waterproof. Moreover, it complies with CE, ECE R10 and ECE R112 standards for electromagnetic compatibility and lighting performance. ECE R10 — electromagnetic compatibility for vehicle electronics.

R10 is the reason a cheap LED strip can make a truck's ABS throw faults. It regulates how much electrical noise a lamp is allowed to emit, and how much external interference it has to tolerate. Every lamp destined for a European road carrying a CE mark also needs an R10 stamp — the two are not the same.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
