Omschrijving

This red LED marker light from the Fristom MV-2400 serie is suitable for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. It combines the functions: rear marker light and reflector, and is designed for both flush mounting and surface mounting applications. The compact dimensions of 120 x 27.7 x 12.8 mm and the 15 cm long cable with open wire end make installation easy. The housing is made of rubber and polycarbonate, with a strong polycarbonate lens that can withstand mechanical stress. The marker light meets the requirements of CE, ECE R10, ECE R148-A/R1/SM1 and offers reliable performance under various conditions. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
