The Fristom M10MV-650R from the MV-600 serie is an LED marker light suitable for vehicles within a voltage range of 12-24 V. This model combines the functions: rear marker light and reflector. Thanks to its compact 110x75x35 mm housing and robust polycarbonate design, this unit is applicable for various bodywork and semi-trailer configurations. The surface mounting and open wire end with a cable length of 50 cm ensure functional and easy installation. The lens and housing are made of impact-resistant polycarbonate. This LED marker light complies with CE, ECE-R3, ECE-R7 and ECE R10 guidelines. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
