Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-1460R belongs to the MV-1400 serie and is an LED marker light suitable for application on vehicles within a voltage range of 12-24 V. This marker light combines the functions: Rear Marker Light and Reflector. With its compact dimensions of 120x67x18 mm and surface mounting, the product lends itself well to installation under a variety of conditions. Both the housing and the lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to the product's impact resistance and durability. Connection is via a 0.75mm² connector and a 50cm cable. The marker light meets CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R7 certifications and is waterproof in accordance with a standardised IP value. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
