Omschrijving

This red LED marker light from Horpol s MV-4300 serie is designed for use on vehicles with 12-24 V electrical systems. Its compact size of 65 x 17.2 x 14 mm allows surface mounting on various vehicle types, including semi-trailers, commercial vehicles and agricultural vehicles. The polycarbonate used for both the housing and the lens contributes to a robust construction suitable for demanding conditions. This LED marker light combines the functions: rear marker light and reflector. The version with open wire end and 30cm cable allows direct installation. The product complies with CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R7 guidelines and has an IP68 rating, making it resistant to dust and long-term immersion. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
