Omschrijving

This LED marker light from Fristom s MV-500 serie is designed for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. The model combines the functions: rear marker light and reflector. Its compact dimensions of 80x30x23 mm and surface mounting allow versatile application on semi-trailers, semi-trailers and commercial vehicles. Thanks to the polycarbonate housing and lens , the marker light is resistant to mechanical loads and weather influences. The 50cm long cable with open wire end ensures a flexible connection. The product is certified to CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R7 and thus complies with the applicable standards for electromagnetic compatibility and vehicle lighting. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
