Omschrijving

The Horpol LED marker light from the MV-4200 serie is designed for vehicles with a 12-24 V electrical system. With its square 67x67x30 mm housing and rounded corners, this marker light offers a compact solution for visibility and safety. The model combines the functions: rear marker light and reflector, and is suitable for surface mounting. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to a robust and impact-resistant construction. Thanks to its IP68 rating, the marker light is resistant to dust and long-term immersion in water. The open wire end with 45 cm cable length simplifies installation in a variety of applications within road vehicles. The product is certified according to CE, ECE-R10 and ECE-R7 directives. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
