This Fristom LED marker light from the MV-1200 serie is designed for use within 12-24 V vehicle systems. With a robust polycarbonate housing and lens , this marker light is suitable for surface mounting. The dimensions of 125x60x24 mm and the 50 cm long cable with 0.75mm² connector ensure flexible and easy installation. The red light colour in combination with the integrated reflector makes the marker light suitable for various applications on commercial vehicles, semi-trailers and agricultural vehicles. This LED marker light combines the functions: rear marker light and reflector. The product is certified to CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R7 standards. The waterproof construction contributes to reliable operation in a variety of weather conditions. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
