Omschrijving

The Fristom marker light from the MV-100 serie is designed as an LED marker light for application on vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. This model comes in red and offers the functions: Rear Marker Light and Reflector. The housing and lens are both made of impact-resistant polycarbonate, suitable for long-term exposure to a variety of weather conditions. Thanks to surface mounting and the 50 cm long cable with 0.75 mm² connector, installation is easy and versatile. The dimensions of this LED marker light are 130 x 32 x 14.5 mm, offering a compact solution for both horizontal and vertical placement. The product meets the requirements of CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R7, allowing deployment on public roads within the corresponding regulations. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
