Omschrijving

This red LED marker light from Fristom s MV-100 serie is designed for signalling applications on 12-24V vehicles. The marker light combines the functions: Rear Marker Light and Reflector. Thanks to surface mounting and a cable length of 50 cm with 0.75mm² connector, installation on various vehicle types is easily feasible. Its dimensions of 100 x 50 x 32.5mm make it suitable for mounting on compact surfaces. Both the housing and the lens are made of polycarbonate. This contributes to a robust construction with increased resistance to environmental influences. The marker light meets CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R7 requirements. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
