Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-5900 serie includes compact LED marker lights designed for application on vehicles in a variety of transport and logistics sectors. This red marker light combines the functions: rear marker light and reflector, providing both visibility and passive safety. The product features an open wire end with a cable length of 15 cm and is suitable for multivoltage applications from 12-24V. Thanks to surface mounting, integration on various vehicle surfaces is easy. The housing is made of polycarbonate combined with rubber, contributing to a robust construction. The lens with polycarbonate finish contributes to weather resistance. This LED marker light complies with CE, ECE R10, ECE R148-A, ECE R148-ECE-R1 and ECE R148-SM1 standards. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
