Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-1950A marker light from the MV-1900 serie is designed for mounting on the side of vehicles within the 12-24 V voltage range. This LED marker light combines the functions: side marker light and reflector. Its dimensions are 129 x 48 x 10.6 mm, with a waterproof polycarbonate housing. Thanks to surface mounting and the 50 cm long open wire end, the light is easy to install on various vehicles. The lens is also made of polycarbonate, suitable for long-term use in various weather conditions. This marker light complies with CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R91 directives, allowing deployment in road traffic. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
