Omschrijving

This amber-coloured LED marker light from the Fristom MV-1200 serie is designed for vehicles with a voltage range of 12-24 V. The model is suitable for use as a side marker light and also functions as a reflector. Thanks to the compact 125x60x24 mm housing and surface-mounted design, the marker light is easy to mount on various vehicle types. The housing and lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to impact resistance and durability. The connection is via an open wire end with a cable length of 50 cm, offering flexibility in installation. This LED marker light complies with CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R91 guidelines. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
