Omschrijving

The Fristom MV-600 serie comprises compact LED marker lights for vehicle applications with a voltage range of 12-24 V. This version with amber light colour combines the functions: side marker light and reflector. Thanks to the housing and lens made of polycarbonate, the marker lights are resistant to common external influences. Its dimensions of 110x54x16 mm support discreet mounting in a variety of vehicle designs. This LED marker light is equipped with a 50cm cable with open wire end and suitable for surface mounting. The series meets CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R91 standards and has a 'WATERPROOF' protection rating, allowing use in damp or wet conditions. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
