Omschrijving

This amber coloured LED marker light from the Fristom MV-700 serie is designed for use as a side marker light on vehicles with a variable voltage supply. Thanks to the integration of a 1.5mm² connector and 50 cm cable, connection is easy in a variety of installations. Both the housing and the lens are made of polycarbonate, which contributes to impact resistance and wear limitation. The application of this LED marker light is suitable for a variety of vehicle types within both light and heavier segments. The product meets the certifications CE, ECE-R10, ECE-R3 and ECE-R91 and is classified as waterproof. Mounting requires a separate mounting bracket.

ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
