Omschrijving

This amber coloured LED marker light from the Horpol MV-3200 serie has been developed for marker and signalling applications on vehicles in the 12-24 V segment. Thanks to its compact dimensions of 102x44x15 mm and surface mounting, this marker light can be easily integrated into a variety of vehicle designs. The model combines the functions: side marker light and reflector. The fully enclosed polycarbonate housing and lens contribute to a robust construction with an IP68 protection rating. This makes this LED marker light resistant to long-term exposure to dust and water. Featuring a 50 cm cable with open wire end, this product meets the certifications CE, ECE R10, ECE R3 and ECE R91. ECE R48 — where every lamp on a vehicle must sit.

R48 is the master installation regulation. It defines which lamps are mandatory, which are optional, where they may be mounted, and how they must switch. Individual lamp regulations (R7 for position, R87 for DRL, R65 for beacons) certify the lamp itself. R48 certifies the vehicle on which the lamps are fitted.

ECE R87 — daytime running lamps.

DRLs became mandatory on new EU-registered vehicles in February 2011. R87 is the regulation they comply with. It specifies luminous intensity, colour, geometry and, critically, the switching logic — a DRL that fails to shut off under main-beam is as non-compliant as one that was never fitted.
